Product Description

T-10 Paratrooper Parachute
The T-10 paratrooper parachute was standardized as a troop parachute by the U.S. government in the early 1950s. It has performed well since then with relatively few modifications. WHA®'s T-10 parachute is improved based on the T-10D model, with some components upgraded.

Additional Information
In 1976, significant changes were made to the basic canopy, including the addition of:

An anti-inversion skirt net (old part NSN11-1-1501 - T-10B). This improved the reliability of an already highly reliable parachute, and many active-duty canopies have been retrofitted with this net.

In 1986, the T-10B canopy was further improved to the new T-10C model, with part number 11-1-1501-2. Improvements to the canopy included:

Increasing the free length of the bag straps from 4 inches to 7-1/2 inches and reducing the bag depth from 5 inches to 4-1/4 inches. This change reduced opening shock by providing a slightly larger diameter at the skirt; it also resulted in a lower descent rate and a "softer" landing. All active-duty T-10B canopies have now been upgraded to the new bag strap length.

In 2006, the material color of all T-10C components was changed to the new U.S. color Foliage Green #504. Additionally, the pack assembly part number 62J4342 was revised by adding a static line storage bar on both sides of the existing webbing loop used to store the static line. These new storage bars are used for additional storage at the folded end of the 15-foot 5-inch yellow static line. The static line is secured to the main strap via a breakaway strap under the inner bag strap or directly to the main strap if the breakaway strap is omitted.

In 2000, the T-10D was introduced. The T-10D assembly includes a detachable deployment bag. The new bag contains:

A 15-foot universal static line, part number 11-1-6993-1; a 5-foot extension static line, part number 11-1-6993-2; and a snap hook, part number 11-1-6991.

The universal static line (15-foot or 20-foot) allows soldiers to deploy from different aircraft.

The chest, back, and leg straps allow for size adjustment. Each harness strap is 30 inches long, and the male fitting for canopy release is permanently attached.
